Electrify America and 4 Gen Logistics have launched the first phase of their electrification project at the Port of Long Beach, California. This new charging station, equipped with 30 Hyper-Fast chargers, aims to support 4 Gen’s fleet of zero-emission Class 8 trucks. The collaboration is part of Electrify America’s ongoing efforts to reduce emissions across Southern California, especially around major port areas.

Key Highlights:

Electrify America’s network expansion focuses on reducing tailpipe emissions around critical regions such as the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. The first phase consists of installing 44 chargers across Rialto and the Port of Long Beach to enable 4 Gen Logistics to operate zero-emission drayage trucks with increased efficiency.

The project is partially funded through Electrify America’s $25 million ‘Green City’ investment, aimed at supporting Medium and Heavy Duty electrification projects in Long Beach and the Wilmington neighborhood of Los Angeles.
